Christian Venturella

Graduate Student
Department of Chemistry

Christian is a 3rd year PhD candidate and NDSEG fellow in the Chemistry Department at Yale advised by Professor Tianyu Zhu. Prior to his PhD, he graduated summa cum laude from Princeton University. Christian is broadly interested in developing both physics-based and data-driven algorithms for predicting many-electron properties of chemical and materials systems. For his talk, Christian will be presenting his most recent works in developing machine learning methods for accelerating post-DFT quantum chemistry simulations. More on his work can be found here: https://venturellac.github.io/. Christian is passionate about music of all kinds and enjoys playing the trumpet in his spare time.
